FAQ

I am interested in using your services. What's the next step?

If you have any preliminary questions, you can call Rich at 215-882-2358 or fill out the short online form above. If you’re ready to start services, fill out our FREE Meet and Greet form and we will contact you to schedule a date and time.

What sets you apart from the other pet care businesses in Philadelphia?

Since 2009, Walk It Like A Dog had been providing a fun, safe service for our fur buddies. Every service includes a photo check in, service map, and a detailed report card from your pet sitter. When your dog walker takes a photo of your pet, you are alerted of their arrival by email and through the Scout for Pet Owners App. When your dog walker submits the report card, you receive a second notification letting you know basics like pee, poop and fresh water. Additionally the report card will confirm we’ve completed any add-on services you requested such as food, treats or medication. A digital note written by your dog walker or pet sitter is also included.

What will you need from me before we can get started?

In order to get started, we require every new client to schedule a FREE Meet and Greet. Following our Meet and Greet, we will require two sets of keys and a copy of your pet’s rabies vaccination record.

How do I know my keys will be safe?

We randomly assign a code to every client’s keys instead of labeling them with identifying marks. Your keys are stored at a secure location when not in use. Our location has an alarm and a video security system. Key codes are only accessible to your sitter in the Scout for Dog Walkers and Pet Sitters app when using a valid username and password.

Is Walk It Like A Dog insured and bonded?

YES! Any person entering your home on our behalf is covered by our insurance policy and bond.

Is my dog walked with other dogs?

No. Never. We only walk multiple dogs if they live in the same house. We do not allow any outside socialization. Your dog is never allowed to interact with other dogs or people on the street. Safety first!

Will I have the same walker each visit?

This depends. If you plan on using our dog walking services 3 times a week or more on a set schedule between the hours of 11AM and 3PM, then yes, your pet will have the same dog walker every visit. However, clients who need less appointments or more flexibility or evening and weekend appointments, your walker will be assigned based on location and availability. We hold all of our walkers to the same high standards of care, compassion, and accountability!
